Sandi Toka Nova — solo cello music for your event
Sandi Toka Nova is a cellist based in Zurich. Her solo repertoire ranges from classical pieces to arrangements of contemporary songs. She performs at weddings, ceremonies, receptions and other private or corporate events.
Music for a wedding ceremony
Sandi can perform during a civil or church ceremony, at the drinks reception or during dinner. She will discuss the timing and musical programme with you so that it suits your celebration.
The expressive sound of the cello can accompany both intimate and festive moments. Choose from classical and contemporary pieces, and ask Sandi about a particular song you would like to hear.

Solo cello with or without backing tracks
Unaccompanied cello puts the sound of one instrument at the centre of the performance. Selected pieces can also be played with prerecorded accompaniment while Sandi performs the cello live. We agree on the version when choosing the programme. Cello with piano or cello with organ offers a fully live instrumental partnership.
Choose music for specific moments
Consider where music belongs in your event: an entrance, a reflective pause, a recessional or the drinks reception. Discuss classical works, film themes and favourite songs early. Our repertoire overview provides ideas; agree with Sandi which pieces work for solo cello. A duo arrangement cannot always be transferred unchanged to a solo performance.
Preparing the venue
We agree on the playing position, space for the instrument, access routes and timing in advance. Acoustics, guest numbers and background noise help determine whether amplification is appropriate. A programme with backing tracks also requires agreement on playback, speakers and power. For outdoor performances, arrange a sheltered position and a wet-weather alternative.
