The artist at the piano

Sound, style and
musical curiosity

Irina Grebaus lives in Zurich and moves naturally between the concert stage, composition, arranging and sophisticated event music. Her repertoire ranges from classical music to jazz and swing, pop, soul and film music.

She pursued advanced musical studies at HEMU Lausanne and Zurich University of the Arts. She also completed comprehensive professional training as an organist and harpsichordist. This versatility shapes her deep understanding of different periods, timbres and musical languages.

At the Lausanne Conservatory, Irina also worked as an accompanist for various instrumental classes. Her intensive collaboration with musicians from different disciplines broadened her chamber-music experience and her instinct for musical dialogue.

For SwissDuo, Irina creates a large part of the duo’s characteristic arrangements. Familiar melodies are given a new musical shape for piano and cello – personal, detailed and unmistakable.

For many years, Irina has been one of the most sought-after pianists in renowned piano bars and hotels in the region. She continues to perform there regularly – in Zurich as well as in the surrounding cantons. Her fine instinct for the audience, the room and the atmosphere makes every evening lively and personal.
