About the piece and our interpretation
Santa Claus Is Coming to Town, by J. Fred Coots and Haven Gillespie, brings a sense of anticipation to SwissDuo’s Christmas repertoire. In this instrumental version, the familiar song meets the sound of cello and piano. Irina Grebaus and Sandi Toka Nova wrote the arrangement and perform it in the video.
The recording offers a playful companion to more reflective Christmas pieces. It can inspire music for welcoming guests, a family celebration or a company event in December. Alongside White Christmas and Let It Snow, it introduces different colours to a festive live programme. We discuss which songs suit your audience and how to place them within the flow of your event.
